Valentine Notes
With Valentine's day around the corner, I need several different types of Valentine cards - - one for my hubby, a couple for my favorite little guys and several to send to aunties and my mother-in-law. This card started out for my mother-in law but quickly turned into cards for my aunties' Valentines as well!
Using my computer graphic program, I drew a leafy heart shaped wreath and small flowers. I really liked the feel of whimsy of the wreath but it seemed the card needed a bit of grounding to it. So, I added a pin striped edge border. The effect was perfect. Still needing a bit of dimension and of course sparkle, I added glitter to the middle of the flowers and a corresponding bow with a glitter center.
Hmm, looking at the finished card, I thought this card would also look really nice with different colors of flowers and different sentiments. So, I begain playing with colors and here is what I came up with - - this is the pink and purple set:
And the red and blue set:
