Blue Tissue Paper - Thank You Note Card
I wanted to design a very special card for a very special
thank you and this is what I ended up with!
I think it is such a pretty card.
It was a fun card to make and I ended up using a lot of odds
and ends of materials I already had plus a bit of improvising on my part (this
is always the case for me and a result of teaching preschool). The
blue tissue paper is from a gift I had received, the twine is left over from my
own wrapping and the rest is just materials I have on hand
for card making.
The equipment that I used was my Sizzix Big Shot with the Dear Lizzy Serendipity die cut flower and leaf for the blue tissue flower and green leaves. The tag was made by using a die cut tag and stamped in black with a favorite sentiment.
If you would like to make this card, I have included a list of materials and simple instructions. If you do not have the rolled flower die cut, please check out the videos on Youtube - there are a great many tutorials and patterns to make your own.
Materials:
Note Card (pictured is 4.25 x 5.5)
Blue
Tissue Paper
Green
Card Stock
Black
and White Baker’s Twine
Wink of
Stella Glitter Pen
Black
Sharpie
Ruler
Glue
Scissors
1/8 inch hole punch
Gift Tag
Die Cut Machine
Die Cut Rolled Tissue Flower
Die Cut Leaves
How to Make:
*Die cut and roll tissue flower following manufacturer's i instructions.
*Cut out two leaves
*Make gift tag
For Card:
*Along the left-hand side, using the ruler and black sharpie, draw several lines.
*Using the hole punch, line the punch's cutout 1/2 way into the fold of the note card and punch.
*Lace the baker's twine through the punched hole going through the inside of the card to the front of the card. Lace through gift tag. Tie neatly into a bow onto the front of the note card.
*Glue flower and leaves down securely.
*Let dry completely.
